Cleanliness and sterility

I propose there be a system of cleanliness, not just of areas but of characters too. As characters perform various activities, they gradually pick up dirt/grime/sweat etc. This not only provides flavor and acts as an RP prop but can also play in important role in things such as the broader medical system, which brings me to ‘sterility’.

I propose certain rooms and clothes bear the sterile flag such that, when medical procedures are performed outside of such rooms while not wearing such clothes, depending on the invasiveness/complexity of procedure, infection chance scales accordingly.

Example:

Joe Jarhead was injured in a fire fight and calls on you to help him. You hold a job at a clinic and could help him, however, Joe Jarhead is also a wanted man, but you owe him a favor, so you call him to a hotel room and perform the first aid there. Sadly the room is far from sterile, but you do have a pair of sterile gloves and antiseptic spray, so here, formula:

Infection chance = non sterile room + invasive procedure (of bullet extraction) + Joe Jarhead is dirty (escaped through the sewer system to get to you) - sterile gloves and instruments were used - wound area was cleaned with antiseptic.

If for the sake of the excercise we assign each factor a value of one, it will be 1 + 1 + 1 - 1 -1 = 1. So the chance of Joe Jarhead’s wound getting infected is ‘1’.

This also makes cleaning code more useful, i. E. Janitors are instrumental to keep rooms sterile, and you need to keep your own instruments clean too.
