Standing on veins (and perhaps objects?)

A Chamber Within The Crater Wall
The cave tunnel widens here, revealing a spacious chamber where the ceiling rises to twice a
person’s height. The air hangs thick and heavy, almost palpable. The walls are rough and cool to the
touch, contrasting sharply with the warmth outside. Any light that penetrates the dimness dances off
the glimmering copper vein running through the crater wall at the back, casting flickering
reflections that shimmer like molten gold.

An unremarkable person of average height, dark hair, and light complexion is standing here.
A lean, bronze-toned man is standing by an iron vein.

You don’t leave standing on veins by leaving the room. You cannot mine them, at least, but it’s a bit strange.
