How would we determine when they are online?
If they’ve recently used the datapad?
On the radio, there’s an etiquette where some people (mostly medical, from what I see) hop on and say ‘I’m on duty’/‘I’m off duty’.
The datapad could have some functionality like a flag or a toggle people could set ONLINE or OFFLINE (and maybe something that would automatically set them OFFLINE when they log off, similar to how we go prone and go to sleep when we log off now).
Perhaps ON-DUTY or OFF-DUTY for people with a more official role, once we get more doctors, et c?
I think if you have to type a command it won’t really be that useful, but maybe seeing the last action they took could be. Or when they last logged in. BUt it’s very gaseous when they have last taken an action. There’s actions like reading inbox and stuff. Maybe sessions should auto close after a time + require you to login. That way it’s just logging in that needs to be factored in?
